Since its establishment in 2014, Dáiddadállu has become a central junction between Sámi contemporary art and local, regional, national and international professional community and the public.
Dáiddadállu has created a unique interdisciplinary Sámi art environment, where Sámi culture, thinking and philosophy stand as the basis for contemporary Sámi contemporary art. Dáiddadállu represents art forms such as visual art, film, dance, theatre, choreography, TV production, duodji, performing arts, design, writing, music and yoik.
Dáiddadállu celebrates art and its unique Sámi artist network by pushing the boundaries of creativity.
Alexandra Wingate work for Dáiddadállu as a producer and as a co-curator. She is currently working with Birgejupmi Through Art & Duodji – a seminar and an interdisciplinary exhibition and an art program. The project is a part of the Horizon project Birgejupmi.
Prior to this Wingate worked with Dáiddadállu 10 jagi – Dáiddadállus 10-year anniversary exhibition, public art and performances.
